In Turin the first exhibition dedicated to Steve Jobs
The first Italian exhibition dedicated to Steve Jobs, the Californian businessman, inventor and co-founder of Apple, who died on October 5, was opened yesterday at the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin.
“This is a tribute to a man to whom we must be grateful, because it has revolutionized the way we live and think. Steve Jobs has shown that you can change the world without the world changes you,” said Marco Boglione, president of Basicnet group, that has promoted the initiative together with the Councillor of Culture of Piedmont Region.
The exhibition traces the human and business history of Steve Jobs across 10 subject areas: the founding of Apple in 1976, the dismissal of Jobs from his owncompany, the creation of Pixar, his technological will, the creation of Lisa, Macintosh, iMac, iPod and iPhone.
The showpiece of the exhibition is the very rare Apple-1 that Mr. Boglione bought by Christie’s for157,000 euros in November 2010.
The exhibition will be open until February 26th, 2012.
